I bought the 1000W perk at $99 when it included the automatic 48V battery upgrade... And then a second battery perk at $199 and because back then there was only one battery perk, it was also automatically upgraded to 48V and 14.4Ah. This is, without a doubt, an absolute steal.
I was also going to buy another wheel to have 1000W + 250W for the road. But I think I'm just going to ask Max if I can forgo the 1000W motor and stick with the 500W motor since I will ask for the throttle to be removed (Japan Law) and 1000W is a little stunted without one.
Now I'm wondering what to do,
Currently, I have a 1000W + 2 x 48V batteries.
If I cancel the 1000W perk, I will probably end up with 2 x 36V batteries losing $150 value.
So I'm wondering if I should replace the 1000W perk with the same price $99 upgrade battery perk.
That way, I will end up with:
500W motor plus a heavier 48V battery and a lighter 36V battery which will be fine for short commutes.
Or, with a 500W motor, I might just reduce both to 36V and use the $99 against the 3K Carbon Fibre look.
Anyone else facing a similar conundrum or just in the mood to help an indecisive backer?
